LUXURY BRITISH BUILT EQUINE TRANSPORT VEHICLES
The Arena model is our 3.5-tonne horsebox and is built upon a long-wheelbase chassis from either the PSA Group, who make the Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer or Fiat Ducato, or the Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano built by Renault.
It is stalled for two in a reverse travel configuration and robustly built and manufactured with a classic stallion design horse area. It benefits from standard features such as a lightweight and tough twin skinned GRP sidewall panels, an insulated roof, plus a horizontally split ramp and top door. You can also elect to have a barn door configuration on the upper ramp doors ar no extra cost.
It offers a safe and spacious journey for your horses.
We finish the horse area flooring in a sheet aluminium laid on the original steel monocoque base, this is then fully covered and sealed with a Dunlop style high grip rubber matting for extra payload, or alternatively with our original full weight solid rubber alternative floor covering which is a little heavier but ideal for use with road pins or for heavier horse. A gaiter to the ramp hinges makes for cleaning easy cleaning.
For safety, we will only ever build on chassis vehicles fitted with an original full steel cab bulkhead.
The two-part partition is vertically hinged and locked to the floor and roof to stop any twisting effect with horses leaning on it. Both partition parts are hinged and will fold back for easy loading.
The lower ramp design is ultra-strong and impressive, yet easy to lower and raise. It is fabricated from a thick box-section aluminium frame which measures a full 11.5 centimetres (4.5″) in depth. This ramp has been tested to withstand horse weights of up to 900 kgs in use with our customers and is a proven strong and robust structure.
There is a fully separate groom’s area or rider’s living area behind a full height bulkhead. This offers simple day accommodation, or alternatively, it can be fitted with a multitude of options including sleeping, cooking facilities and power options, with a lot more besides.
The standard build price also includes the full equihunter graphics set, to include the black side “window” design and luton dome plus and branding and lettering finished in a non-metallic paint colour of your choice. Metallic finishes are also available. The dome front also comes with day ultra-bright running LED lights. There are three tinted opening flush bonded windows, two in the horse are and one in the back door to the living space.
